Loren Micheals: Producer (Since 1975)

Loren Micheals was the most noted person for SNL than anyone else. He created and produced it since 1975, well kind of. In th emid '80's there was rumor that SNL was going off the air due to poor ratings for where George Steinbrenner stepped in and brought Martin Short, Billy Crystal, and Christopher Guest to name a few. He left after that season due to family problems with a car accident. Therefore Loren came back and brought hilarious cast members like Dana Carvey, Jan Hooks and Phil Hartman. He had produced the show ever since and he produced another sketch show which was horrilbe; this was Kids in the Hall. He stopped producing that in 1996.

Tina Fey: Featured Player,(Joined 2000 for show)

Tina Fey actually joined SNL in 1996 during the reconstruction years which cast members like Cheri O'Teri and Will Ferrell joined. She became writer and eventually became head writer in 1999. She then joined the actual cast aside from her writing and mostly does Weekend Update but does sometimes pop up in some sketches. This is her 2nd season on the show and no real famous characters.

I would like to mention the deaths of all the past cast members:
John Belushi (1975-1979) died in 1982
Gilda Radner (1975-1979) died in 1989
Chris Farley (1989-1995) died in 1996
Phil Hartman (1986-1995) died in 1997
Andy Kaufman (1975-1980) died in 1981
Dinitra Vance (1985-1986) died in 1995
Micheal O'Donohue (1975-1982) died in 1995
